From release 2.0 Url Extractor X added a new amazing feature, Web Extraction.
From release 3.0 Url Extractor has now extraction of url on the web starting from search engine keywords.
You insert a list of keywords and press 'Start Extraction'.
DONE.
Url extractor call the search engines and ask for the web sites associated to the keywords, navigates in the websites jumping also on linked pages (cross navigation) and collecting all the urls of the type you specified (also emails)
Web Extraction
Web extraction allows the user to specify a list of web pages.
Url extractor will use all the pages you listed as 'navigation starting point' and going to other web pages using 'cross navigation'
Starting the extraction, Url Extractor will surf these web pages looking for links to other web pages and navigating also in all the linked web pages and so on in an endless process.
Url extractor can navigate for hours, without user interaction, and extract all the url it finds in the all the web pages it surfs.
Yo simply have to indicate some starting web pages and press the 'Start Extraction' button. You have finished!

You can leave the application doing its job, it won't require additional input
Url Extractor can collect thousands and thousands of urls in a smooth way, all in background in native Cocoa multithread. Your Mac and the application itself still is responsive while it surfs the web collecting urls.
Depending of the web pages you indicate as starting point Url Extractor will collect urls in the related (and linked pages) environments.
As an example if you indicate as starting point page related to the 'cheese production' it will end to collect urls related to this business and related one.
You can specify additional parameters in preference to fine tune the way url are collected and we are working to improve it more and more (upgrade to next release are free)
We are very committed to make Url Extractor any day better.
File Extraction
You can also specify a file on disk and extract form it. Url extractor still uses multithreading and it can extract for very big files without freezing your Mac. |
|
| |
|
Folder Extraction
You can indicate a folder to extract from. Url Extractor will analyze and extract from all the files inside the folder, and in subfolders at any nested level.
You can specify the type of files to analyze by extension.
Url Extractor is incredible fast to analyze and extract thousands of file, all in background using multithreading Cocoa tasks.
Drag and Drop
To specify a file or a folder to analyze, simply drag and drop it from the finder on the Url Extractor window
To add a new url to use in the Url to extract list, simply drag and drop it from Safari (or other applications) to the Url Extractor window.
Not a lot to explain, but effective as a Mac application has to be.
ave settings in standard documents
Url Extractor X can save on disk, as Url Extractor X documents, all the settings used to work for a particular folder or file or web addresses, to have them ready to be used the next time.
If you need to reuse as example a set of web address to restart a email collect process, simply reopen the document and press the 'Start Extraction' Button.
Web pages changes over time, so you can end with different results starting from the same web extraction settings.
Preferences
In preferences you can set to have a default document opened a startup, this will save you time if you usually process file collected inside a standard folder, via download or other methods. You just can launch Url Extractor X and press the button to have the work done.
