Pomola.com is a site entirely dedicated to Mac software. All the software available at Pomola.com is designed, created, maintained and supported by Tension Software. We were established in 1997 by Macintosh developer Roberto Panetta, who is still our director. Tension Software has been interested in a wide variety of fields of information technology. We have been involved in the creation of web sites, have consulted for many companies, and completed contract programming in C, C++, PHP, on a variety of platforms including OS/2, Linux, Solaris, Windows, and (fortunately) the Mac too.

When Tension Software realized that it’s main site needed to be changed to reflect the various interests of the company, it was immediately clear that a subdivision of the TensionSoftware.com, with a different focus, would result in hardship for the users. Macintosh users, looking for good Mac software, would have been forced to navigate unrelated information before finding the great Macintosh software we have to offer.

As a web consultant, we often suggest to our customers to have one site and one focus if they want that site to be effective. The goal is to have a purpose built site that offers the user what they are looking for without having to search for it. Pomola.com is entirely and solely dedicated to Macintosh software for the worldwide market and distributed only on the net. A long time ago we believed in distributing software on the internet, and to get paid from it, when others said that was just a crazy idea. We are still committed to this idea. We really think the internet has changed our lives and it can do a lot more in the years ahead. We think we have something to say and to offer.

Regarding the Macintosh ... as we already said, we were involved in different projects on different platforms in the past. When we first saw the Mac, it was like nothing else. No other platform in the world has the quality of Mac OS X when you consider the global potential, the technical foundations, the user interface, the development environment, the programming interface, the integration of the hardware with the software, the user philosophy, and best of all the focus on people.

This is the reason the Mac is the right environment to use and to develop for now and in future.
